Welcome to our intensive AP Calculus Bootcamp!
This program is designed to cover the entire AP Calculus AB syllabus in 5 weeks, with an optional 1-week intensive for BC-specific material. Our structured sessions, resources, and support will help you succeed in the AP Calculus exam.
Lecture Schedule
Lectures are held twice weekly on Monday and Thursday nights from 8-10pm EST. Each 2-hour session includes live instruction, examples, and Q&A. Topics are drawn from the official AP Calculus syllabus. (all lectures recorded and available to students)
Week 1 Monday:
Unit 1 – Limits and Continuity (Estimating limits, continuity, Intermediate Value Theorem, limits at infinity)
Week 1 Thursday:
Unit 2 – Differentiation: Definition and Fundamental Properties (Average/instantaneous rates, derivative rules for polynomials, trig, exp, log)
Week 2 Monday:
Unit 3 – Differentiation: Composite, Implicit, and Inverse Functions (Chain rule, implicit differentiation, inverse trig derivatives)
Week 2 Thursday:
Unit 4 – Contextual Applications of Differentiation (Interpreting derivatives, related rates, linearization, L’Hôpital’s Rule)
Week 3 Monday:
Unit 5 – Analytical Applications of Differentiation (Mean Value Theorem, extrema, concavity, optimization)
Week 3 Thursday:
Unit 6 – Integration and Accumulation of Change (Riemann sums, definite integrals, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, antiderivatives)
Week 4 Monday:
Unit 7 – Differential Equations (Modeling, slope fields, separation of variables, exponential/logistic models)
Week 4 Thursday:
Unit 8 – Applications of Integration Part 1 (Average value, accumulation, areas between curves)
Week 5 Monday:
Unit 8 – Applications of Integration Part 2 (Volumes by cross-sections, disk/washer methods)
Week 5 Thursday:
AB Review and Exam Practice (Full syllabus review, mock questions)
Optional Week 6 Monday (BC Intensive):
Unit 9 – Parametric Equations, Polar Coordinates, and Vector-Valued Functions (Derivatives/integrals in parametric/polar form, areas, arc lengths)
Optional Week 6 Thursday (BC Intensive):
Unit 10 – Infinite Sequences and Series (Convergence tests, power series, Taylor series, error bounds)
Meet The Instructor
Lacey Griffin is a recognized expert in AP Calculus AB & BC exam syllabus material. With a very strong math background and extensive experience as an instructor, she is dedicated to helping students succeed in their mathematical studies.
